I've never seen anything like this before - ever. ETA is 19 hours 49 minutes right now, and it's not even 50% done. Folding on a Core i9 7900X on 17 threads, clocked at 4GHz.
Super weird. I can't say I really desire to be assigned such mammooth work units, because I am not a habitual folder, so feeling a need to keep my machine turned on 24 hours a day to finish any more of these does not appeal to me.

They're big but not the biggest. There are bigger.

They've been running for a few months now.
You do have a full week before it times out, if you need it.
My Ryzen runs those in about 37 hours.
The bigger work units take my Ryzen a little longer, at 41-42 hours.

I am running a P18420 on all 16 virtual cores of a Ryzen 3700X and it is taking 44 hours.
And a P18411 on all 16 virtual cores of a Ryzen 5700G (great chip for Folding by the way) is taking 37 hours.
Both are on Ubuntu 20.04.3.

Ohh, i'm about to switch my 1920x over to folding, might have to go for an upgrade

I don't think more cores will do you much good. These work units can only use so many.Nathan_P wrote:Ohh, i'm about to switch my 1920x over to folding, might have to go for an upgrade
And FAH does not use much cache. And you would have to pay a lot for faster speeds. But it is your money.
