Even with .NET 6.0.1 installed, and showing in Programs and Features on Win10 Pro, I get a warning that I need to download it when I try to install HFM.NET (.msi version).

Strange ... it didn't ask for it when I installed HFM, but when I started it.

Here's how I updated my copies of HFM :
- download new HFM .msi
- stop HFM
- install the .msi
- start HFM which complain about missing .NET 6
- download the right package (Windows, Run desktop apps, Download x64) from : https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/down ... .0/runtime
- start HFM again, which works this time.

Strange ... it didn't ask for it when I installed HFM, but when I started it.

Actually, the same for me. It seemed to install OK, but then gave the error when I started it.

I tried re-installing .NET 6.0.1, and then removing and reinstalling 9.28.1718 (following several registry cleaners and a reboot), but that didn't fix it.
I was hoping that there was a stuck registry key, but it may be something else.

The prompt should occur when running HFM.exe. Please make sure you've downloaded the correct runtime. It will be labeled Microsoft Windows Desktop Runtime - 6.0.1 (x64) in Apps and Features. Also, open Windows PowerShell and run the following command and post the results: dotnet --info

OK, it worked. I had downloaded "dotnet-runtime-6.0.1-win-x64".

I guess I might need to update my HFM. It's been so easy and stable I never even paid any attention to how many new versions have been released. But for some reason it quit recording my completed work units, even though the currently running ones show up in the status bar.
