Only getting bad work units.

I took about a 2 month break from folding but now I only get bad work units. Nothing has changed hardware wise. I have tried reinstalling F@H, gpu drivers, and even tried reseating the gpu. I have a rtx 3060 on driver version 512.77. I have attched my log if that helps.

Being you are getting the same error, I suspect it's a Windows related issue, possibly triggered by updates since you last folded.

ERROR:Win32: 0xc0000005: Exception access violation

A quick search shows multiple possible causes for such an error code.
Fold them if you get them!

HI there! I think that we discussed together on Discord a day or two ago. You might have to reinstall Windows, and even there, it doesn't guarantee it's going to work as there might be some hardware issue somewhere.

I know there is a way to uninstall a particular Windows update, but you have to pinpoint the issue first, which might be problematic.

However, without reinstalling anything, if it's system file related, you could try this (this "tip" is taken from the Windows community forums) :

To run System File Checker (SFC), follow these steps:
  • In the search box on the taskbar, type command prompt, press and hold (or right-click) Command Prompt, then select Run as administrator > Yes.
  • At the command prompt, type sfc /scannow (note the space between sfc and the /). Scanning will take a few minutes.
  • If SFC finds corrupted files and replaces them, restart your PC and check if the issue persists.

If i can not fix this without reinstalling windows, i am going to be done with folding, it is too much of a hassle for me.

You can check for hardware stability first (StressCPU v2, Furmark, OCCT, Memtest86+, ...).

I used OCCT to test, i ran each test for a few minutes, and everything seems fine.

I recently got a 3070, and it is also getting bad work units so i dont think it is a hardware issue.

Windows update may have upgraded nvidia driver without providing all the components required for folding.
Have you tried installing the most recent nvidia driver directly from nvidia web site?
Looks like nvidia just released an update on 2/28.
