Somewhat New...Just Checking

I've been running F@h for a few months now and just wanted to check I have things setup correctly.

My system:
ASUSP5KC
Intel Q9450 2.66MHz (Quad)
4GB RAM
nVidia 8600GT

I am running 4 uni clients and the gpu client.
These are my results


Are they about right? Will I get better results if I run the SMP client?

You would get more points with smp. For uniprocessor it looks rather okish for that cpu.

Gpu seems pretty good depending on wu

Btw, you say 4 uni's but I only see 3?

Thanks for your reply. I think I might try SMP client then, see how it goes.

I've tried bumping up the shader clock to 1670 and upping the core and mem clocks slightly with the gpu, and it bumped up the ppd, but then got "exception thrown during guarded run" which I assumed was related to GPU instability, so I'll clock back a bit until its stable.

Uhm don't test with f@h, try to use Occt or something for stable clocks, and drop 10% after that since f@h stable != 3d stable.

Just one question, which SMP client do I use? Deino or MPICH

MPICH client is sensitive to network changes but easy to setup.

Deino client is more robust regarding these network changes, but it is not available for 64 bits OS and a bit more more harder to setup.

Whatever version you choose, use the official installation guides ... it will save you time

Ahh ok. Went with the Deino client. Got it setup and running, but in task manager, the 4 cores are only sitting around 30%. Surely they should be maxed?

Although Bill Process Manager does show the core using 100% cpu
