That sort of error can be caused by an over-zealous anti-virus program. Have you excluded the \work directory from your virus scans?

I also suggest you add the parameter -forceasm to your client.

This is a Linux box, very minimal installation with almost nothing but essential functions for running F@H.. definitely no antivirus.

I forgot about the -forceasm flag on the Linux unified client for classic work, will get that added.
