Give Blood - I'm a Stanford Donor

Just got back from my 54th whole blood donation with Stanford Blood Center since 1981. I was pretty sporadic up until the last couple of years, but now go every 8 weeks.
Good additional way to support the Stanford School of Medicine!!

I'm a bit far from Stanford, but my blood donation count is 47. I started 15 years later than you.

I am very grateful to everyone that donates blood. I cannot donate for medical reasons, so it is great that people who can do.

K1wi, 60% cannot give blood, we are not trying to motivate them. They can't give.
Of the 40% who can give blood, 5% do. It is that other 35% we are trying to motivate.

Haven't been giving blood as long as most of you but i did start giving at 16, Up to 5 or 6 donations so far.

Thanks to those others from around the world who helped us remember that those of us who medically can be blood donors can be of great help.

I'll let this be a reminder to others who are eligible to give blood for life.
