No upload 130.237.165.141/232.237, "Removing from queue"

Post by Leonardo »

Did the client just dump a completed P6904?

I am new to Linux and also new to the "big bigadv" work units, so please bear with me if I have posted in the wrong place. This seems to be a problem uploading to servers 130.237.165.141 and 130.237.232.237, but then later the log reads "Error: Could not read unit 05 file. Removing from queue."
1. Did this work upload or not?
2. Did I get credit for it?
3. Am I too easily confused?

The client removes the work unit from the queue because the results have been sent by Langouste and they're no longer available for the client to send which it can't do basically because of the proxy.

If this was your first bigadv then it looks like you got credit for it in the 6am update:

To me, your log looks quite normal when using Langouste.

First "hugeadv," yes, indeed. I checked stats and there was an enormous credit today, so it had to have been the 6904.

Thanks for the explanation concerning the queue and Langouste. I am relieved to see that this new system is apparently all in order. New system - new operating system - new work units: my learning curve has been very steep the last few days.

Just for my own curiosity, why did you choose V6+Langouste rather than V7?

Easy answer: I didn't choose at all, I just followed a guide to the letter! I'm a complete noob with Linux, so I wasn't about to get creative or adventurous.
