I have a Radeon HD 5450 but fah is listing it as a ManhattanP [AMD Radeon HD 6230]

AMD drivers identify it correctly:

Code: Select all

root@speedstar:/var/log# amdconfig --list-adapters
* 0. 03:00.0 ATI Radeon HD 5400 Series

* - Default adapter
Mod Edit: Topic Moved To Appropriate Forum - PantherX

Both of them use cedar cores, so that may be part of the issue.

I'm sure it would be useful to modify your post to include the VendorID:DeviceID of your GPU. Those numbers are how the client determines the GPU. These can be obtained by running gpu-z and looking six lines down for "device ID" or by running fahclient --lspci (with two dashes) or gpu-z. We really can't do anything without more information.

Just put the card in a Windows machine and same error.
GPU-z gives the device ID as 1002 - 68E1

According to the information in the official drivers, the 0x68E1 code does refer to the Radeon HD 6230 and 0x68f9 refers to the Radeon HD 5450. If the manufacturer of your hardware and the official documentation disagree, there's really nothing FAH can do about it. In fact, it really doesn't matter to FAH, however since those two devices are so similar that FAH treats them in exactly the same way.
