It's too low ... As per 7im numbers you should see 24000 PPD; yourself wrote you see 3000 PPD ; that means the client runs not at its full capability. Reason ? Many.
Can be the PC is not running all the time. Powered off or Power saving settings. See here http://folding.stanford.edu/home/faq/fa ... roduction/
The bonus calculation based on start of a work unit and it's end. Now if the PC is switch off or very busy with something else this time get longer and reduce your points. That's what we try to figure out (in different approaches)

In Windows click on the Start button > All Programs > FAHClient > Data Directory.

There you will see a file called log or log.txt. Right click on it and open it with wordpad or notepad. Copy the first hundred lines and paste them here between code tags which are found in Full Editor.

As bollix47 says, OR:
I'm assuming you are using Advanced Control, because you set the Verbosity.
On the Log tab, click Refresh, then scroll up to the top. The first section, down to
22:12:31:Trying to access database...
22:12:31:Successfully acquired database lock
(times may vary)
contains all the system and config info that the client gathers. Copy that and post it.

And now a bit more log file with the config information <config></config>.
It would be great if you can share the timestamps when the WU your are concerned about started and ended. And let us know if in between you switched off the system. Based on your earlier post that sounds like it.

ye i had to shut down the computer, Is that a problem?

Not a problem, but the PPD estimation get "confused". It assume constant folding for WUs. If you interrupt folding of course your actual PPD will be lower. But without passkey ... It don't matter too much.

And keep in mind that once you start a WU please finish it as quick as possible. If you can foresee a longer break better not starting a new one. WU are sequential, based on finished WU new one get created (that's why the QRB we talked earlier).
You can set "finish" on a Running WU via FAHControl. It will prevent the download of a new WU after a current one is done.

No passkey inherently means low PPD. Points received have two factors, the base points and the quick return bonus (QRB). You get the base points as long as your return the WU before the final deadline. The QRB points are exponential to time. The faster you return them before the first deadline the more points you get. The QRB typically give 5x-10x the base points. You will never get QRB points without a qualified passkey.

Even after you enter the passkey, you will not start getting the bonus points until you have completed 10+ QRB WU's and even then you have to maintain at least an 80% successful return rate.

So your statement that you have not entered the passkey totally answered the original question of your low PPD. There is no need to go further in analyzing why.

P.S. shutting down your computer is also quite effective in diminishing the QRB points. Remember they are related to how fast the WU is completed and while your machine is shutdown you are not folding so speedy completion is not possible.

perfect, thank you both, guys!

Just another question:
in this site http://www.linuxforge.net/bonuscalc2.php what's the "Data upload time (min)" voice? What staind it for? I'd like to know where I can find it so I can fill the space

If you have a slow upload or a very large WU, the upload time in minutes gets entered there to adjust the points estimate. Total bonus is based on the time from when a WU is first downloaded until it is fully received back by the server. Usually you can leave it alone, a minute or two is not going to make much difference in points, but a WU that takes half an hour to upload will affect the total a bit.

Example:

Code: Select all

19:44:30:WU01:FS00:0xa4:Completed 250000 out of 250000 steps (100%)
19:44:30:WU01:FS00:0xa4:DynamicWrapper: Finished Work Unit: sleep=10000
(skip some lines)
19:45:17:WU01:FS00:Upload complete
19:45:17:WU01:FS00:Server responded WORK_ACK (400)
from 19:44:30 to 19:45:17 = 0.78 minutes which is not important for a WU that ran for more than 6 hours.
