In the typical cell one can find smooth & rough 'endoplasmic reticlums" what distinguishes smooth from rough ER's are ribosomes. Rough endoplasmic reticulms, have ribosomes attached, this is where amino acid's, (per m-rna instructions) form specific proteins.

Question: Is the ER an internal pathway (like a tunnel) for AA's to ribosomes?

Are AA's gathered from the aqueous fluid in the cell?

Does the ER provide exit of completed protein out out/outside the cell?
