CUDA error

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though NVidia has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

any chance you can set verbosity to 3 (am guessing it is set perhaps 5) and post the top 100 lines or so of you log which includes the system details ... tvm

Theta!! wow, i've been wondering about you guys since u popped up as a team. That log file only confuses me more. If you followed the guide to posting the log file, then it must be something theta software related. I know that they include a switch that starts you folding. But let's take a step back... I see windows 4 core CPU, I assume ur wondering about GPU folding. What's your GPU? Normally the logs would say, but yours does not. You're going to need the respective proprietary drivers from either Nvidia or AMD. That usually solves most people's problems as windows tends not to include OpenCL. If you're an AMD GPU, anything regarding CUDA can be ignored as it doesn't apply to you.

If still having problems after the driver reinstall, make sure to follow the outline on posting log files. The guy with the orange name bruce is in many threads, and in his signature the link will take you to the instructions.

Did you download the folding@home program to your computer? Or did you just flick the switch in Theta?

we were not installed F@H client seperately that installed as a package in theta edge node s/w and moreover advance control is not working, only web control works.
i have nvs4200m GPU on my T420 old laptop.

I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings (and someone will be able to confirm my thoughts) but irrespective of the error (which may be related to the following but not necessarily) looking at the specs for you graphics card (https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/nvs-4200m.c1741) it appears to be an old fermi card with OpnCL1.1 and a small number of shaders which I think means it will not be able to complete WUs within expiration times (too few shaders) even if it were to be able to fold (the lack of OpenCL1.2 may cause issues).

Welcome to Folding@Home!

Your NVS 4200M is a Fermi card, it can't run CUDA in F@H. (It takes at least Kepler to support F@H, with CUDA 3)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fermi_(microarchitecture)

And as Neil-B points out, it does not support OpenCL 1.2, a prerequisite to folding. It is just too old. Sorry.
