Just want to call out that I still have to run these commands whenever I install FAH 7.x on a macOS system to prevent the FAHControl being stuck in "Updating". I just wish this thread would appear more readily in web search results. It took me hours to happen upon this thread again.

The previous script worked for me. Just got a 2014 2.6Ghx mac Mini running Monterey and couldn't figure out why it was so for FAH client to talk to FAHControl either network of locally. The earlier set of commands looks to have done the job. many thanks calxalot
